NCRC has been guided by Nepal’s overarching national aspiration “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali”. To achieve this aspiration the NCRC is committed to enhance local and global partnership to empower local communities, women, girls and students in natural resources conservation and their economic wellbeing. Covid-19 has caused socioeconomic shock and unprecedented disruption of livelihood opportunities, skill based trainings, eco-tourism, and sustainable agricultural and other income generation options in the forest dependent local communities. Such prolonged employment gaps will increase unsustainable harvesting, illicit felling, logging and selling of forest resources and poaching of wildlife and will destroy the habitat and ecosystems. We are committed to support income generation opportunities to help achieve sustainable development goals through alternative livelihood opportunities, skill based trainings, eco-tourism and sustainable agricultural to empower local communities and women.
